A veteran Cambodian Diplomat, and staunch Aseanist heads, The Techo Sen School of Government and International Relations

Professor Keo Chhea joins The Techo Sen School of Government and International Relations, The University of Cambodia as its Dean. As a senior public official, Dean Chhea brings with him an outstanding track record of service in diplomacy and international affairs. He serves his country and to the ASEAN Secretariat, Jakarta, Indonesia with distinction. His appointment is widely welcomed by the University of Cambodia’s faculty, staff and students and the university community at large.

Dean Chhea received his Master’s degree in Foreign Affair and Trade from Monash University in Melbourne Australia, and has worked at the ASEAN Secretariat since 2003, most recently as the Assistant Director of the External Relations Directorate in the ASEAN Political Security Community Department. In addition to his work at the ASEAN Secretariat in Jakarta, he worked for twenty-four years in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, serving in various capacities on behalf of the Royal Government of Cambodia in Brunei, India, and Cambodia. He is an asset for TSS and will be able to utilize his personal and professional experiences to help strengthen the school, and TSS students will benefit from having a “Diplomat in Residence.”

The Techo Sen School of Government and International Relations provides international-standard, graduate-level, nonpartisan education, training and research to (and for) current and future leaders in the public and private sectors. TSS programs and research initiatives are targeted to those who are just beginning their careers and those who are already on their way along their chosen vocations.
